Using Artificial Immune Systems to Sort and Shim Insertion Devices at Diamond Light Source

Abstract This work presents the Opt-ID software developed by Rosalind Franklin Institute (RFI) and Diamond Light Source (DLS) in collaboration with Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin (HZB). allows for efficient simulation of synchrotron Insertion Devices (ID) B fields produced a given arrangement candidate magnets. It provides an optimization framework built on Artificial Immune System (AIS) algorithm swapping adjusting magnets within ID to observe how these changes would affect magnetic field real-world device, guiding builders steps they should take during tuning.
